Single and Custodial Fathers Network 
    As a group, single and custodial fathers are isolated by a society that feels that men are not suited to be nurturing and caring parents. While the number of families groups with children under the age of eighteen, was at its highest level in 1995, reaching over 35 million households. This is a 25% increase in a twenty-five year period. Yet, the number of two parent households actually decreased during the same period, an estimated (-.007%). In 1995, single parent family groups made up almost 31% of the total family group's population. Fifteen percent of the total single parent, family groups are headed by single fathers. The group, first called "Mr. Mom", was started with only a few Dads in the surrounding Atlanta area. When Curtis first became an At-Home Dad, he tried joining groups of At-Home Moms in their playgroups.
